Between Christmas and New Year, we got some vacation days and as the weather in Vancouver was not that cold (it hadn’t snowed yet) and because of that, we started looking for someplace to relax and enjoy the cold weather.
Looking at Airbnb, we found a really nice log cabin around Ruth Lake, in Forest Grove, the interior of BC that was available. The drive was a bit longer, but we also wanted to take our time and explore a bit more of British Columbia.
The log cabin is very cozy very organized with everything that we needed and the decoration is really nice. We can see that they paid a lot of attention to the details.
The fireplace inside made the place really warm and in a really nice cozy mood. We stayed there drinking wine and just looking at the fire.
We were blessed with sunny days (that week was really cloudy) so we could see the sunrise sitting in the chair facing the frozen lake.
We were amazed at the frozen lake. Coming from a tropical country, we are still not used to snow and seeing everything frozen.
We stayed outside a lot, we made a campfire facing the frozen lake. We stayed there for hours drinking wine admiring the lake, the sky, and the fire. We could even see a shooting start.
For sure, we loved the fireplace, the one inside, and the campfire outside.
The host Diana was also very friendly and helpful. We talked quite a few, and it was really nice to learn more about them and their history building the place.
Cheers.
